About My Clients
We all have areas of our lives where we feel stuck. We can’t seem to figure out what’s going on inside us or in our situations. Even if we see a problem, we might not know how to navigate it. Counseling is an experience that helps you safely explore these places to make sense of your experience and find more clarity for the experiences to come. Together, we sift through the combination of thoughts, emotions and experiences that make up who we are to find deeper understanding, clarity, and peace.
My Background and Approach
The process of therapy and engaging internally can change the way you see yourself, engage with others, and experience the world around you. It frees us from the boxes we find ourselves in. We all want that peace and freedom, but it’s hard to get there on our own. When it comes to our own life and experience, as the saying goes, “We can’t see the forest for the trees”. My role is to come alongside you to help shed light on these areas and be a guide along the way. In that process I use many tools, including training in the Enneagram and EMDR, to help you in your journey. I also use Internal Family Systems to help the different parts of us work together towards meeting your needs. If you feel you’re ready to take that next step, I’m here to journey with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all of us, no matter where we are, ultimately are good at our core. While we all have deep hurts, traumas, and injustices that keep us from living into that reality or experiencing it in others, at our base, that goodness is there. My role is to help people remove the barriers that keep us from connecting to our core selves and in turn, connecting with the people around us. In this work, I am LGBTQ+ friendly and sensitive to racial injustices and realities affecting peoples day to day to lives.
