About My Clients
As a parent, you’ve probably tried everything—encouragement, discipline, therapy, even silence. But your teen still seems stuck. Maybe they’re angry, anxious, withdrawn, or spending more time alone in their room than with people. Maybe school is a daily battle. Maybe you're scared they’re hurting themselves or thinking about giving up entirely. And you’re exhausted from walking this road without a map. I see you. I’ve been you.
My Background and Approach
I’m Wendy Thornell, LMSW. I work with neurodivergent teens who feel overwhelmed and misunderstood. Many of the families I support have been through school crises, IOP/PHP, or inpatient treatment. I help teens feel safe enough to open up and practice new coping skills—at their pace, on their terms. As both a therapist and a parent who’s walked this road, I bring empathy, clinical tools, and real-world understanding. I also work with parents, because healing happens as a team. Families often notice more connection and engagement after just a few sessions. I offer in-person therapy in Greenville, TX, and virtual sessions across Texas.
