About My Clients
I enjoy working with individuals who are ready to challenge themselves to be vulnerable and are open to learning new ways of viewing themselves and the world around them. With over sixteen years' experience working with adults, teens, individuals, and couples on issues including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, abuse/trauma, PTSD, and relationship issues, my approach to therapy is integrative, utilizing CBT, EMDR and talk therapy to aid in healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in both CO and GA, I have extensive experience working with abuse/trauma, as well as as anxiety, depression and relationship issues. In my work with survivors, I have seen clients' lives change dramatically through the use of EMDR to process trauma and heal on a deeper level. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy gives clients tools to better understand how their thoughts, feelings and behaviors are interrelated, and how to reframe their experiences to improve mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My focus is on helping individuals build on their strengths, while assisting them in learning skills to improve the areas they feel are lacking. I believe we are all capable of change, given a safe, accepting environment, along with support and tools for personal growth. I would be honored to help you on your journey.
