CBT has great functionality in therapy. I help my clients identify patterns of thinking and behavior that present challenges and then work on changing them into more productive, adaptive patterns. Once clients have awareness and insight into why they are doing what they're doing, great change is possible!
I view individuals as a whole person rather than as someone who is sick, has psychological issues, or as being separated into different components. I believe we are complex beings and that our minds, bodies, and spirits are all connected and essential to our daily existence. If one of these components is out of balance or neglected, I strive to help create a better balance within my clients so they can thrive!

Teens today face many challenges; balancing school demands and a social life, family time and extra-curricular commitments, navigating social media, managing personal relationships, body acceptance, judgement by peers, messages from the media...all while questioning their self-worth and natural gifts. With so much pressure, no wonder our teens are more anxious and depressed than ever. My ultimate goal is for every teen I work with to feel heard, validated and supported.
If you're struggling with anxiety, panic, worrisome thoughts, and general unease, I'm here to support you. I believe that anxiety can be a great indicator of some deeper work that needs to be done to better thrive in this world and to feel better!
