About My Clients
“How are you?” We are asked this question numerous times a day. You respond with “fine” or “meh.” Why? Because no one wants to hear "I'm shitty and can't get out of bed in the morning." Sleeping 16 hours a day. Exhausted. Feeling alone. Maybe you are anxious. Mind racing, an elephant is on your chest, can't concentrate, and don't want to leave the house. What if-ing and shoulding yourself to death. Feeling alone and no one understands. It's too hard to ask for help. Been there. Done that.
My Background and Approach
The darkness may be overwhelming but you aren’t alone. How would it feel waking up refreshed and able to focus on the day ahead? Answering “awesome!” or “great!” when asked how you are doing AND meaning it. What is instead of what if. What would it feel like if you enjoyed living again? I get that it's hard to ask for help. I'm offering a ladder and a hand to help. I've been where you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Realizing the need and asking for help are two entirely different things. You are here because you feel anxious/down/exhausted (insert feeling word here) and you want to change it. Asking for help takes courage and strength. I've been in the darkness and dealing with anxiety for years. Despite my fear, I looked for a therapist...and actually went. It was terrifying telling my issues to a complete stranger. I was sure they would judge or not understand me. That wasn't the case at all. I finally learned to cope with my anxiety. I could finally sleep at night without my mind racing. Therapy helped me realize it’s ok to be sad but also try to find a slice of joy every day. It was hard at first and with the help they provided I was able to find joy, not all day every day but a little each day. Let me help you out of the darkness and back into enjoying your life. It's hard. Therapy turned my life around and I'm grateful every day that I asked for help, despite my fears. It's so worth it!
