Things we may focus on: Where you learned to feel ashamed and the impact it has had on you since. Your relationship with your own body. Communication styles and skills. Identifying wants and needs. Establishing and maintaining boundaries to facilitate growth and prevent compounding shame or retraumatization. What we may do: Build tools for nervous system regulation to promote mindfulness and pleasant or neutral experiences related to intimacy and sexuality. Utilize metaphors, visualizations, and story telling to more deeply integrate the lessons we learn together and the tools that you can use to achieve your goals.
