About My Clients
I work with adults seeking practical therapy that gives them real tools — professionals navigating burnout, clients working through anxiety or depression, and people from underserved communities. My practice is welcoming to clients whose lives have included chronic stress, justice-system involvement, housing instability, or longstanding mental health concerns. If you've done therapy before and want a more structured, skills-based approach this time, my practice may be a fit.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Social Work from Boston University and an undergraduate degree from UMass Amherst, with over 25 years of clinical experience across inpatient and outpatient settings. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Clinical Supervisor at Trust Therapeutics, I mentor clinicians and interns while maintaining a full clinical caseload. My work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — evidence-based approaches that give clients concrete tools for managing thought patterns and aligning daily life with core values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be practical and collaborative — and that clients deserve a therapist who shows up without judgment, especially when their circumstances are complicated. I am committed to trauma-informed, anti-oppressive care, and I take seriously the systemic context of what clients carry. Outside sessions, I practice what I teach: hiking, quilting, and visiting museums help me stay grounded so I can be fully present with the people I work with.
