About My Clients
People come to see me when they are in distress about their jobs, their relationships, their families, or the feelings that they are having trouble being who they aspire to be. I help many people reduce their stress and anxiety, build more peaceful and fulfilling marriages, parent their children who are struggling with behavior or mood disorders, or develop meaning and foster personal growth in their lives.
My Background and Approach
I earned my BS in Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University. My Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and my MBA are from Widener University. I worked for years as an intensive, family-based clinician for children at risk of placement out of their homes. In addition to my outpatient therapy practice, I have also been a Licensed Psychologist Manager overseeing clinicians at a state prison. I prefer to use empirically-validated and evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy. I give a lot of homework because you will make much better progress through daily practice than just one hour per week.
