About My Clients

Hi there! I’m Wareesha (she/her), a South Asian therapist and founder of Sohail Counseling & Care. I offer therapy for adults and couples who are navigating identity, relationships, and all the beautiful, messy in-between moments of life. If you’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed, untethered, or like you’re carrying more than you can name; you’re not alone. This is a space where you get to slow down, be fully yourself, and gently sort through whatever’s been on your heart. We’ll move

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Sohail Counseling & Care. With several years of experience in community and group practice settings, I support adults and couples navigating identity, relationships, cultural transitions, and intergenerational healing. My approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed; blending CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy to meet you where you are. I especially love working with BIPOC and South Asian clients, first- or second-generation children of immigrants, folks in faith or identity shifts, and couples in premarital or intercultural relationships. Therapy with me is a cozy space to be real, process gently, and grow with intention.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a South Asian therapist, my work is deeply shaped by values of compassion, justice, and cultural humility. I hold space with care for clients navigating the intersections of faith, family, and identity; especially those exploring who they are outside of what they were told to be. I’m committed to decolonizing mental health and creating affirming, accessible care all communities. Outside of therapy, I’m passionate about community healing, supporting mutual aid efforts, and uplifting narratives that have long been overlooked. I believe that our stories carry wisdom and that healing is both personal and collective.
