As an immigrant myself I have experienced racial/cultural identity challenges and issues growing up in America. I am keenly aware of all the nuances of multigenerational issues between immigrants and 2nd generation children. I have a strong understanding of Asians and Asian Americans and well experienced in working with client with various racial/cultural backgrounds. I aspire to empower POC clients to embrace their authentic and unique background.

If you feel discouraged, helpless, alone, stuck, or having difficulty to engage with others emotionally, mentally, or physically, it is time to seek support. I enjoy working with clients who wants to have healthy relationships with themselves and with others. I welcome people of all gender/sexuality/ethnic backgrounds on healing and creating the relationship they want to have in a safe and nonjudgmental space.

I specifically works with teens/women on sexual concerns such as sexuality, body image, difficulties with sex due to past trauma/abuse, sexual arousal issues, pain with sex, and how to enjoy sex. I also work with couples/partners wanting to have more emotional and physically connections, creative with sex, and improving their sex life. I thrive to provide a safe, relaxing, and nonjudgmental space for you to explore these issues.

I embrace the philosophy of compassion, acceptance, and liberation. Mindfulness is incorporated into my eclectic therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment Based, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Solution Focused, and Family Systems.

I am a certified EMDR therapist and a sex therapist. I work with individuals and couples. I specialize in helping clients to process trauma/abuse/PTSD, chronic shame, guilt, and negative self beliefs that contribute to mood disorders, relationship problems, racial/cultural identity issues, and sexual issues.

I gained my experiences in working with culturally diverse populations at community mental health clinics, private behavioral health clinics, and primary care behavioral health clinics. In addition to English, I am fluent in Cantonese. I have provided counseling in a collaborative way with primary care providers to children, adolescent/teens, adults, couples, pregnant women, elder adults, and people with disabilities.

I help those who struggles with anxiety learn to self regulate by using Mindfulness skills, Cognitive Behavioral skills, and Internal Family System approach. By developing these skill sets, clients may see a reduction in panic attacks, ruminating thoughts, and more able to ground themselves. I specialized in guiding mediations and worked with the client to find the right combination of methods to deal with anxiety and promotes self growth.
