About My Clients
I help clients who are open-minded, motivated (if even a little bit), and willing to combine their expertise in themselves with my expertise in psychiatry and therapy to make a great team. While many of my clients are profess who appreciate my experience in management consulting, my clients are extremely diverse. Patients often seek me out for my focus on quality-over-quantity care, transparent discussions, willingness to answer your questions, & my calm, caring demeanor.
My Background and Approach
The care I provide leverages decades of learning, from studying psychology and brain sciences at Johns Hopkins University, to training at Washington University in St. Louis for Residency, to being a clinical instructor at UW. Many of the skills and tools I employ will help you through problems and achieve higher performance. Whether you are medication (or therapy) interested or averse, I will tailor the process to you, ensuring you are informed and comfortable with what we try. If medications are used at all, I seek to optimize benefit and reduce risk, and to use the minimum number and dose of medications that actually work. As a therapist, my job is to train you to be your own therapist, while serving as a trusted confidant, an accepting cheerleader, and a motivating coach. Our discussions will be holistic, spanning lifestyle changes, relationships, career, thoughts, feeling, urges, sensations, and potential medications, if applicable. I look forward to working with you.
