About My Clients
Many of us have experienced traumatic situations which have left a negative imprint within us, and consequently feelings of guilt, shame, fear, anxiety, depression and despair. While we can repress the effects of these traumatic events and their accompanying symptoms; it will only be temporary, since failure to process these incidents will generate in us different types of emotional disorders that will rob us of our quality of life. My Background and Approach
Vladimir brings over 15 years of professional experience in the fields of social services, which include: non-profits, government agencies and clinical residential treatment facilities. As a bi-cultural clinician of Latino descent and a veteran of the Navy, Vladimir learned to develop a participative therapeutic style with strong analytical skills that are complemented with an innate ability to connect with others via compassion and empathy. Vladimir obtained a B.A. in Psychology from the City University of New York with an emphasis in Bio-Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Vladimir pursued to further his knowledge of psychology by obtaining a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (MSCP) with a dual licensing specialization degree in Marriage Family Therapy (MFT) and Professional Clinical Counseling (PCC) from Notre Dame de Namur University in California. Vladimir has a certification as a Domestic Violence Counselor and has specialized trauma training in EMDR.

Embarking on a path of healing and discovery is a challenging process that takes time, effort and dedication that I relate to.
