About My Clients
I work with clients who may be feeling overwhelmed. Clients with high anxiety and trauma may find it challenging to navigate everyday routines without becoming stifled by emotions. I meet clients where they are to help them find coping techniques and supportive systems to find a balance, find some room to breathe, and learn how to thrive in this chaotic world.
My Background and Approach
My approach is somatic, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded. I help clients understand how their nervous system responds to stress and how past experiences shape current patterns. I integrate mindfulness, attachment work, existential themes, parts work, and systems models to support healing that is both deep and sustainable. Therapy with me is collaborative, non-pathologizing, and gentle.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a decolonizing therapist who believes people are much stronger than they may think. There is always time to learn, grow, and flourish. Even people with extreme trauma can learn to heal and live authentic, balanced lives. I acknowledge that many vulnerable populations do not have equal access to a society that is equal for all. Because of this, I see therapy as a way to support people where they are and help them navigate complex systems to learn, recover, and prosper. I am a bi-Chicana who embraces her Indigenous Mayan roots and Danish living "Hygge." I believe in the power and strength of community and the magic of connecting to ancestral roots. I am trans-inclusive and am always learning the most current standards of care to provide the best support, including gender-affirming assessments and helping trans youth connect with support.
