About My Clients
Are you, your child, or your family struggling to manage stress in the home, school, or work setting? Clinicians at Pope Behavioral Health and Wellness have extensive experience working with clients managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, adjustment to new life circumstances, outburst of anger and defiance, and difficulties in school or work. Clinicians also have experience assisting clients in the neurodivergent community cope with frequent life stressors.
My Background and Approach
I have been working in the mental health field and providing counseling services since 2007. As the owner of Pope Behavioral Health and Wellness, I have spent my career working with youth, adults, and families in multiple setting. Settings include intensive services, such as Day Treatment programs and Intensive In-Home program, community-based outpatient therapy, and private practice. Providers at the practice provide services in the environment that is most comfortable for you, whether it is in the office or virtual sessions. Our therapist use a directive approach and are solution focused; however, we believe that every person is unique and we will adjust any therapeutic tools to assist each client in meeting their personal goals. Our therapists will work with you on learning effective strategies to manage mental health symptoms, including healthy coping skills, relaxation techniques, behavior modification tools, communication skills, and more.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that counseling in a collaborative process between the counselor and the client. As a counselor, I believe that it will be my role to offer support, encouragement and a safe environment for personal growth of the clients. Although I am a collaborator in the therapeutic process, I view you as an expert in your own life, therefore your role in the therapeutic process will be to accept the responsibility for your own growth as an individual. I think that every person is capable of growth and I place value on autonomy. I believe that each person is a unique individual and is able to reach self-understanding and personal acceptance.
