About My Clients

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, cultural assimilation, cultural trauma, transitions, disordered eating, and body image. I am especially passionate about supporting those coming from immigrant family backgrounds as well as first-generation individuals in understanding their identity in regards to their values, cultural background, and ethnicity.

My Background and Approach

I approach therapy from a humanistic lens and enjoy incorporating play therapy and expressive arts into my work. I believe in the power of providing individuals the space to express their feelings and thoughts in a way that utilizes their creative muscles, and I see play and creativity as essential parts of overall well being. My belief is that therapy provides a unique healing relationship that allows clients to recognize and lean into their full potential. Clients can expect to be met with openness, curiosity, and thoughtfulness. I structure sessions in a way that feels conversational and collaborative. My role is to support and advocate for clients in creating safety around facing their inner world, finding ways to be honest, and empowering themselves free of judgment and criticism. I work hard to foster trust, safety, and curiosity within the counseling relationship.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I lead with authenticity, honesty, and compassion. I am always curious about the world around me and am always down to try something new. I believe therapy should be a space where you can process, explore, and celebrate all of who you are. I want all my clients to feel empowered, supported, and celebrated for everything that they are. In my spare time, I'm outside (camping, biking, or hiking), playing with my 15 year old dog, or catching up on tv. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you are interested in starting therapy.
