About My Clients

My passion is to provide support to my community with culturally sensitive and linguistic support. I do work quite often with a lot of South Asian and American population who experience trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and self-esteem issues. My patient population often includes South Asian trauma survivors as well as South Asian LGBTQ+ population that are seeking support to become their healthier selves.

My Background and Approach

I help patients learn and break patterns: cultural, generational or circumstantial that sometimes show up as fatigue, sadness, anxiety, overthinking and disables us from the joy of our lives. We all deserve loving kindness and can break these cycles that disables us. In such times we all can use trauma-informed and nonjudgmental support to help us heal from symptomatic root causes. There is hope. I wish to work together to help you find these hopes and choices. My training, life and professional experience and my education has helped me become a therapist who holds space for all those who have been impacted by life transitions and day-to-day stress and trauma experiences. I use strengths based, attachment approach and mindfulness strategies to support my patients break old patterns that no longer serve us. I work with patients to help them learn to dig deep, find our true self and heal past traumas and pain.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I work with adults 18+ in individual and group settings to dig deep, break old ways of life that are holding us back to grow. I hold space to process, help patients learn skills to manage their symptoms and find meaning in the current state they are in so they can help find their true identities and authentic selves. I was born and raised in India and as an immigrant in the US, I noted many disparities among South Asians in contrast to the majority of the population. As I learnt and found more about this dilemma through volunteering and service to the community, I noted the dire need for a culturally-competent and linguistic supportive therapist and substance abuse counselor. I first became an alcohol and drug counselor and then got a degree in Masters In Social Work at USC and since then, I have been working with communities affected by capitalism, racial injustice and inequality on various levels by supporting them in my therapeutic space.
