About My Clients

On the surface, you’re functioning. People rely on you. You handle what needs to be handled. Most people would never guess that anything is wrong. But underneath, things don’t feel resolved. You may overthink conversations, react more strongly than you want to, shut down, or feel emotions that don’t fully make sense. You’ve likely learned how to push through it and keep going, but it hasn’t actually gone away. Living with it just isn’t good enough anymore. It’s time to deal with it.

My Background and Approach

This helps resolve experiences that haven’t fully processed and continue to show up in the present. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Colorado State University in 2012 and have over 17 years of experience in the mental health field. I have been a therapist for 8 of those years. I am EMDR certified, which means I use it regularly, have a high level of comfort with the modality, and continue ongoing training to deepen my skill and effectiveness.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I value honesty and authenticity, and you can expect that from me. I will be direct, genuine, and engaged in the work we do together. A feminist perspective is one of the ways I understand what people have been through. It helps me look beyond just relationships and consider the larger expectations, roles, and experiences that shaped how you learned to cope and respond to the world. This applies to people of all genders. It’s about understanding the full context of your experiences. I place a high value on continuing to learn. I actively deepen my understanding of trauma, including how it can be carried through families across generations. This ongoing learning helps me better understand my clients and do this work more effectively. I also believe therapists should never stop doing their own work. I’m committed to cont
