About My Clients

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, I have worked with folx from diverse backgrounds in various states of crisis, grief, health, and growth while navigating oppressive systems that often require folx to show up in certain ways to get what they need. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to show up wholly and fully as yourself – where you don’t feel the need to hide parts of your identity out of fear of not being accepted as you are.

My Background and Approach

In working together, my hope is that I can help you to define and own your story. There are so many stories that we tell ourselves (or that others tell us) about who we are, who we have been, who we can/can’t be, who we should be – it can become paralyzing and keep us from living authentically. By fostering a safe and affirmative space for you to unpack/reflect, I will support you in reclaiming your narrative. I value self-determination, meaning your voice matters the most and you ultimately get to decide what’s best for you. My approach is both collaborative and strengths-based, with the intent of empowering you to identify and tap into your own gifts, skills, and resources to implement change in ways that are sustainable for you. I will offer you tools, strategies, and resources that provide immediate and tangible solutions – whether we are dealing with big complicated crises, deep-rooted trauma (and accompanying trauma responses), or the seemingly small things that irritate you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a second-generation Asian American woman, social worker, and mental health therapist based in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle, WA. I grew up in South Seattle and am both proud of and grateful for how this community has shaped me into the person I am today. Much of my experience has been based in healthcare settings, which has taught me that history and context matter immensely. It is with this understanding that I have been able to navigate my own questions and work around my identity, self-worth, and relationships with others. Through my own struggles with perfectionism, people-pleasing, self-doubt, and burnout, I have learned how valuable safe spaces and the opportunity for honest self-reflection are – both of which are things that I look forward to creating for you in our therapy sessions.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
