About My Clients
If you knew you only had 10 years left to live, how would you live it? What would you change? I help people learn to live with the unknowns of life so that they can reduce anxiety, exercise their freewill, and be present with knowing and not knowing. Your life is yours to be created and it’s my life’s purpose to help you reach your fullest potential. I also work with ethical non-monogamous/polyamorous relational models in addition to monogamy.
My Background and Approach
Existential therapy confronts some of the most fundamental questions regarding human existence: "Who am I?" “What is my purpose in life?” “Am I free or determined?” “How do I deal with my own mortality?” "How do I deal with the mortality of the ones I love dearly?" "What happens to me after I die?" "Am I making a great enough impact on the world?" "Does my existence have any meaning or significance?" "Is all of this meaningless?" "How shall I live my life?" This will often involve a philosophical and ethical exploration of the big questions of human existence, such as truth, meaning, justice, freedom, beauty, consciousness, choice, responsibility, friendship and love. These philosophies of existence stress certain “ultimate concerns” -- often in tension with each other -- such as freedom of choice, the quest for meaning or purpose, and the problems of evil, isolation, suffering, guilt, anxiety, despair, and death.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an Existential Phenomenological Psychotherapist LMHC here in the state of Washington. I work with people who are experiencing anxiety around death/dying. Where the idea of no longer existing is hard to fathom or make sense of. I help people grapple with our finite nature, come to an acceptance/understanding of the hard truths that exist within life. Whether you have 45 days, 45 months, or 45 years, your life is still yours to be lived & we all have the agency/power to choose how we want to live it within the present situation. I also work with creatives, creative blocks, people who want to become their best selves, live into their fullest potential, live authentically, embrace/accept/live with uncertainty. Those who are experiencing job dissatisfaction, life transitions, relational conflict (desire/compatibility/sex/communication), divorce, grief, loss, stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD/ADD, and narcissistic personality.
