About My Clients
My clients are often capable, driven adults who appear to have it all together but feel overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, stuck, or disconnected beneath the surface. They may be navigating burnout, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the lasting impact of past experiences. I work with clients who are ready to better understand themselves, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful, sustainable change—not simply keep pushing through.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker with 8 years of experience supporting individuals through stress, life transitions, emotional challenges, and difficult experiences. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work and Women and Gender Studies in 2018, followed by my Masters of Social Work in 2019-both from the University of Windsor. I have extensive experience providing psychotherapy in community mental health and private practice settings. My approach is warm, collaborative, practical, and trauma-informed. I use eclectic, evidence-based techniques grounded in CBT, ACT, and DBT. We’ll begin with an in-depth assessment to understand what brought you to therapy, identify patterns and strengths, and establish goals. We’ll then build practical coping skills before exploring deeper experiences that may contribute to current struggles. I also use evidence-based measures to track progress so we can see whether therapy is helping—not just how it feels.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and accepted for who you are. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you—not tell you who you should be or how you should live. I value authenticity, compassion, curiosity, and personal growth. I believe meaningful change happens when we can understand ourselves without judgment, recognize the patterns that no longer serve us, and develop the skills to respond differently. I also believe that therapy should be practical and relevant to your everyday life, not just something that happens once a week. My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, person-centered perspective. I strive to create an inclusive environment where clients can explore their experiences, identities, relationships, and challenges without fear of judgment. I believe everyone deserves support, regardless of where they are in their journey, and I’m honored to be part of that process.
