About My Clients
You look like you're holding it together, and inside you're exhausted. You're the self-aware one who can name every pattern and still feels stuck. Maybe you carry anxiety, PTSD, or childhood trauma. You overthink, underreact, and keep the peace so well you've lost track of your own needs. Whatever you went through, it counts, and none of it means you're broken. Your nervous system learned to survive, and it can learn something new. If your faith is important to you, it's welcome here.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience helping people heal trauma at the root. I didn't come to this work from a textbook alone. I came the long way, learning the difference between keeping the peace and being at peace. I've pursued advanced EMDR training beyond the basics, because the precision of this work matters. In my approach, we go at your pace. First we build steadiness and a felt sense of safety, so you're never asked to enter a memory without a way back. Then we reprocess what's stuck, using EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other trauma-informed approaches that help your brain file an experience as something that happened, not something still happening. Then we rebuild, so you can show up honestly in your relationships. Alongside trauma and EMDR therapy, I offer relationship and grief counseling, and faith-based Christian counseling when requested. I see clients in person in Mesa and online across Arizona.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
What happened to you matters, and it doesn't have to keep running your life. The strain you carry and the parts of you that once felt like too much were never proof that something's wrong with you. Much of the tension traces back to patterns you learned long before you had a say in them. The good news is that what's learned can be unlearned. I've watched it happen again and again. People stop hiding, start speaking honestly, and find connections that finally have room for them too. I believe healing means moving from surviving to thriving, not just performing better. As a Christian therapist myself, I know what it's like to hold faith and hard questions in the same hands. Whether you share my faith, follow a different one, or hold none at all, your worldview leads the work, and I won't impose mine. You don't have to have it all figured out to begin. My hope is simple: that together we get you to a place where you can hear yourself clearly again, and trust what you hear.
