About My Clients
I love working with individuals of all ages to better understand themselves and to develop a deeper connection to their internal world. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self esteem issues, relationship issues, trauma, substance abuse issues, and more. Being able to identify the core beliefs one holds about themselves, others, and the world allows them to be able to create a space of change and self compassion.
My Background and Approach
Being a marriage and family therapist I take into account all the areas and aspects of one's life to identify the different areas composing one's strengths and challenges. I use varied modalities including psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, Trauma Focused - CBT, narrative therapy, and EMDR. I create an environment of growth where one feels safe to be themselves, but also a space where I can challenge them. I take more of a direct approach posing questions and reframes for further processing one's feelings and beliefs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we all need a community and need to be seen, heard, and valued. I think this is fundamental to one living a thriving life.
