About My Clients
You’re used to being the one who has it all together. The one everyone can count on, the one who keeps things moving, the one who looks like she has it figured out - even if underneath it all, it feels totally different. Your ability to sense what everyone around you needs is a gift - but it can also be incredibly draining. I help high-achieving women and new moms heal from perfecting, people-pleasing and overthinking to finally learn how to trust themselves and put their own needs first.
My Background and Approach
I communicate in a way that is both direct and curious; honest and supportive. I will help you identify patterns that are keeping you stuck - like people-pleasing, perfectionism, or the belief that you have to do everything on your own - while also creating a space where you feel seen, safe and respected. I draw elements from ACT, IFS, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based therapy in my work. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Specialist (PMH-C) also hold a post-master's certificate in Trauma Response and Crisis Intervention. Together, we’ll begin to understand the source of patterns and beliefs that developed throughout your life, and build practical tools to replace the ways of coping that are no longer serving you. In my 13 years as a therapist, I’ve worked with enough high-achieving women and mothers to know that the ones who look the most together are often carrying the heaviest load. Let me shoulder that burden with you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mom of two young children, I’m driven to help other moms make space for themselves in their own lives. I understand the ways in which motherhood can wreak havoc on your self-esteem and identity, especially if you’re someone who is used to giving everything in your life 110%. I’m also the eldest daughter of an immigrant, and my experiences growing up second generation American and in a multiracial household have made me passionate about helping others explore how different identities can intersect to shape our experience of the world.
