About My Clients
Are you currently dealing with major life changes? Do you find that you are overwhelmed by stress or feel like you need some direction on how to manage the emotions you've been feeling? Do you find that experiences from your past are keeping you from moving forward? Are you overwhelmed with things that could happen in the future? Regardless of what stage of life you may find yourself in, having a listening ear and someone to help you process thoughts and feelings can be valuable.
My Background and Approach
I offer a client-centered, individualized approach to mental health. I know that everyone has different needs, and I strive to connect with each person I work with to create a treatment plan that works best for them. I use evidence based, compassionate treatment to ensure the most progress for each person I work with. I've received education and training on various approaches to therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Trauma Informed Practice. I've worked with children, adolescents, teens, and adults, and I've done so in a variety of settings. Regardless of age or stage of life, I am passionate about helping individuals and families overcome and thrive in their day to day lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has value and strength, but sometimes life experiences make it hard for us to acknowledge or remember that. I value human connection and helping others to get back in touch with the things that make them who they are. I believe that the things we've been through do shape the way we see the world, but that world view doesn't have to be permanent. I strive to help people get a better understanding of why they think and act the way they do, and to make changes where necessary.
