I have multiple years experience with treating the after-affects of childhood abuse and neglect for a wide variety of age groups. I have training in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for teens and utilize a trauma-informed approach with all of my clients, regardless of specific background.

I follow an Emotionally Focused Therapy model of treatment for relationship difficulties, as I believe it allows for uncovering the attachment challenges that often stand in the way of healthy partnerships of all descriptions.

My passion is sexual health and sexual fulfillment for all individuals, both with themselves and their chosen partners. Society continues to give us messages condemning rich sexual inner and outer lives and I want to assist my clients in questioning and challenging those messages.

As both an Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I use a family systems approach, even for my individual clients. The complex interplay of a person's inner circle (be it chosen or biological family) has a significant impact on their functioning and life fulfillment. Family systems allows us to explore issues of power and structure which I believe is essential to personal growth.

I strongly believe that much of our psychological distress stems from issues of race, class, power and privilege. I use a trauma-informed relational approach, regardless of sex, gender, or orientation, as I believe every person can relate to and benefit from an examination of how our interactions with one another impact our lives. I use an empathetic and non-judgemental style of therapy so that clients can feel safe discussing their most personal and private struggles in safety.

I offer relationship therapy for all partnerships, regardless of gender, sex, identity, orientation, or number of partners. I am also trained in addressing kink relationships and my straight-forward approach to sex and intimacy may be refreshing to clients who are tired of "beating around the bush" about their sexual lives.
