About My Clients
I've worked with at-risk/homeless youth and adolescents ranging from a multitude of ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds and histories. I've worked with youth just entering into care and youth who've been in care for long points of their lives. My clients have been individuals who have felt they've been without support and a voice and I work with them to help discover this voice.
My Background and Approach
My path to psychotherapy came from a lifetime of living amongst mental and standard healthcare professionals and developed my own passion for helping others. I earned my MSW from Savannah State University where I interned in both a residential youth home and a clinical hospital, these experiences helped to further shape my understanding of mental health and strengthen my desire to work with others. I work from a Strength based perspective and aim to assist my clients in discovering the strengths and abilities they already have within and around them, and work to navigate their lived experiences through this lens.
