About My Clients
I specialize in working with adults who want to be active participants in their brain health. many of my clients are high-achieving and have busy, productive lives. Sometimes this causes a sense of being overwhelmed. Additionally, I am fulfilled when working with families and care partners who are navigating the cognitive changes of a loved one. My interests lie in helping adults through life transitions, including depression, anxiety, grief and stress.
My Background and Approach
My approach is eclectic, using evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, motivational, psychodynamic and family systems. I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, health concerns as well as life transitions. I have a passion for and experience with families when a loved one is experiencing dementia.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that psychotherapy can be a powerful tool to use in restoring and promoting mental health. I work collaboratively with clients to understand the concerns that brought them to therapy. Together we evaluate not only the symptoms that are causing concern but also the root causes of those symptoms with the goal of initial and continued relief. I help my clients identify what they value in life and facilitate changes that bring them closer to their values.
