I'm a fat positive, polyamory/ENM informed, and kink affirming therapist specializing in body image and queer imposter syndrome in Michigan
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in , MI
As a late-blooming cisgender queer femme, I can provide a unique healing perspective to those who are in their 20’s or above, who may or may not be in a committed relationship, and are struggling to come to terms with their identity.
I specialize in the treatment of disordered eating, chronic dieting, and poor body image for those in marginalized bodies. I work from a Health at Every Size©, weight-inclusive paradigm and am training to become Body Trust® certified, a liberatory healing modality based on feminist and social justice principles.
In 2017, I completed the comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy through the DBT Institute of Michigan. I co-facilitated a DBT Skills Group in 2018. Our work will be DBT informed and consistently utilized if there is a need for this service.
Working from a Health at Every Size standpoint, I am here to help you unlearn all of the negative things society and the people in your life have told you about your body (and that you continue to tell yourself).
Having experienced my own grief journey with the loss of my father, I am uniquely qualified to walk with you through your own grief, whether it be grieving the loss of a loved one, a divorce, or any life changes that bring out the experience of grieving.
