About My Clients
You deserve to be at peace with your body. But after receiving a lifetime's worth of messages telling you to fit into a near impossible mold, negative body images can be difficult to change over night. As a weight-neutral, body positive therapist working from a Health at Every Size© paradigm, we can address your underlying pain and perceptions in a safe space. Together, we will move towards healing your relationship with your body. Through this work you will notice an increase in self-compassion
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I draw from a range of personal and professionals experiences to help people get in touch with and process the sources of grief and depression in their lives. Over the course of our relationship, we will work together to talk through challenges, identify strengths, and reach a point of healthy acceptance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health, I am passionate about Health at Every Size®️ (HAES) as part of the healing process for body shame and disordered eating. Health cannot be determined by body size or BMI, and people in all bodies deserve respect and care. We work to unpack the messages received about food, exercise, and body image through this weight-neutral lens. I will never suggest weight loss as a part of your treatment and believe the desire to change our bodies is rooted in emotional pain. You deserve to address the root of the problem. You deserve to be at peace with your body.
