About My Clients
You’re doing everything “right.” So why does it feel like it’s not enough? On the outside, you’re the “successful one” or the one everyone relies on. But inside, you’re anxious, exhausted, or numb. You keep saying “I’m fine," but you're coping by withdrawing or pushing yourself to exhaustion. Maybe it feels like the old version of you doesn’t quite fit anymore. Maybe you feel stuck, but aren’t sure what to change - or if you’re allowed to want more. If you’re ready to get unstuck, let's talk.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed clinical psychologist (PhD) who uses evidence-based approaches to help high-functioning adults who appear successful on the outside, but feel stuck, anxious, or disconnected on the inside. Many of my clients are first-gen or bicultural individuals navigating the gap between cultural expectations and building a life that feels authentic. I completed my PhD at Stony Brook University, a postdoctoral fellowship in couple therapy, and have 14 years of clinical experience. My approach is direct, warm, and practical. We'll dig into what's really going on, try new approaches, and build skills that actually work in your real life. I pull from CBT, DBT, and emotion-focused therapy - whatever helps you make real progress. For motivated couples, I’m certified in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy. I’m PSYPACT-licensed, providing telehealth to 40+ states. You don't need to be fixed - you need space to figure out what you actually want, not what you think you’re supposed to want.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a first-generation American who grew up navigating multiple cultural expectations. That experience shapes how I show up as a therapist - I understand what it's like to feel pulled between different worlds and identities. I'm committed to creating an affirming, inclusive space for people of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and identities. I believe Black Lives Matter, trans rights are human rights, and reproductive justice matters. I recognize that systemic oppression - racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia - impacts mental health in profound ways. I believe therapy should help you question what you’ve been told you’re “supposed to” do and who to be, and build a life that feels authentic to YOU. I value directness, practical progress, and time-limited work. My goal is to help you build skills and clarity, so you don't need me forever. Outside of work, I prioritize self-care - time with loved ones, reading, lifting weights, and travel.
