About My Clients
I help clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and relationships. Using techniques such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Depth Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, along with a person-centered and targeted approach, we will unpack issues that may be challenging with the goal of figuring out what works for you as an individual. We will look at both past and present in order to build strategies for peace.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in critical thinking from my undergraduate and film school studies. Then as a therapist I have worked as an LA Suicide Prevention Center counselor, as a Clinical Supervisor at California Family Counseling clinic, and as a consultant with associates and licensed therapists. This combination of analytical background, crisis intervention skills, and thousands of hours of sitting with a variety of clients allows me to work with depression, anxiety, grief, and big questions about the meaning of life and how to be happier. My practice mixes compassion, curiosity, and challenge in an atmosphere that is sometimes intense, sometimes lighthearted, and sometimes warm. Through an approach tailored to each client (including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and strengths-based theories, with parts work and trauma-informed principles), I'm looking for ways to help you be kinder to yourself, work more effectively, and form stronger, more authentic bonds.
