About My Clients
You may appear successful and high-functioning while privately feeling anxious, burned out, stuck, or uncertain. I work with adults navigating work stress, life transitions, identity, relationships, grief, and cultural or family expectations. I especially welcome young professionals, immigrants, international students, Vietnamese and Asian clients, and people whose identities have been shaped by marginalization. Together, we’ll help you feel grounded, authentic, and confident moving forward.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist whose work is shaped by my identities as a woman of color, an immigrant from Việt Nam, and a former international student. My own healing journey showed me how difficult it can be to find clinicians who understand the cultural, relational, and identity-based experiences of Asian immigrants. That experience deepened my commitment to creating a space where immigrant and Asian experiences are recognized, explored, and honored. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I draw from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, relational, and strengths-based approaches, tailoring therapy to your needs and values. Together, we may unpack patterns that keep you feeling stuck, develop coping strategies, strengthen resilience, and identify meaningful next steps. My goal is to help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and authentic.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a space where you can come as you are and feel seen in the fullness of your identity. I value compassion, authenticity, cultural humility, and respect for the many experiences that shape a person’s life. I am especially passionate about reducing mental health stigma and creating greater access to culturally responsive care for immigrant, Vietnamese, and Asian communities. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, including people whose identities or experiences have been shaped by marginalization and oppression. I also recognize that family, culture, spirituality, and faith can be meaningful parts of healing. When these are important to you, we can thoughtfully include them in therapy. This is always guided by your preferences. You do not need to share my beliefs, cultural background, or experiences to feel welcomed and respected in my practice.
