About My Clients
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling weighed down by patterns that seem to repeat within their families, relationships, or inner world. I work with adults who are navigating trauma, helping them understand the impact of their experiences and find new ways forward. I’m trained in EMDR and take a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to therapy. My work often focuses on exploring how generational, relational, and cultural dynamics shape who we are and how we connect with others.
My Background and Approach
With six years of experience, I am a trauma-focused and culturally competent therapist licensed in California. Trained in EMDR and trauma-informed care, I take a holistic approach that integrates mind, body, and emotional awareness. I work collaboratively with clients to process painful experiences, strengthen self-compassion, and move toward healing and growth at a pace that feels right for them. As a first-generation therapist, I have a deep appreciation for the intersection of culture, identity, and mental health. My style is warm, reflective, and collaborative- rooted in empathy, curiosity, and trust. I believe that healing begins with feeling seen and understood, and I aim to create a space where that becomes possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should honor culture, identity, and lived experience as central to the healing process. I trust that everyone holds the inner capacity for growth and resilience through greater self-understanding, acceptance, and integrating of their experiences. I have experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation individuals, immigrant communities, and those who identify as LGBTQIA+. Starting therapy can feel daunting, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we’ll explore your story, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and cultivate tools to foster resilience, connection, and self-awareness.
