About My Clients
My treatment philosophy is based on our capacity to heal. My primary means of treatment is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). In instances of unresolved trauma, our ability to move forward in our lives is blocked, because thought patterns allow past trauma to continue to be replayed as if happening in the present. I collaborate with my clients via EMDR to reprocess trauma, allowing the brain to let natural healing occur.
My Background and Approach
I am a Certified EMDR Therapist through EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). I am trauma-informed and I utilize ego state work/parts, somatic, and attachment theory with EMDR to treat trauma and other distressing life experiences. I also have experience in other therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
