About My Clients
I am a licensed professional counselor as well as a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I enjoy walking alongside clients as they strive to live a more authentic and meaningful life. My goal is to make sure you feel heard and that you know how capable you already are. After all, look how far you've come!
My Background and Approach
I work with clients from a Person Centered Approach. I believe that you have the answers within yourself and given a safe and nonjudgmental space, you can problem solve ways to live authentically. I tend to pull techniques that are both expressive and from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. You should expect to come to session and walk away with a new found sense of hope in your current situation. You will learn to trust yourself and how to hold yourself accountable. You hold the keys to your dreams.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Sometimes we get lost along the way, because we are living a life that is not in line with our core believes. When that happens, we begin to experience a dissonance that leaves us hurting and searching for relief. There is still so much shame surrounding mental health and addiction which I believe keeps us from asking for help. Well, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to be ashamed of the struggle because the struggle is called life and we all face these challenges one way or another. I encouraged you to be an active participant in your life because you only have one life to live, you are the expert of your life. Sometimes our cultures and belief system, and the ways in which we were raised are all telling us one thing, while our heart of hearts is telling us another. If you've reached a point in your life where you have decided that it's time to do you, then I commend you for having the courage to start the journey. I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey!
