About My Clients
I work best with individuals and couples who are motivated for growth, willing to engage honestly in the therapeutic process and want to make the change. Many of my clients are insightful, self-aware, and curious about understanding themselves more deeply, yet continue to feel held back by longstanding beliefs, narratives, emotional wounds, relationship patterns, or traumatic life experiences or events. Together, we move beyond simply managing symptoms and explore the root that shape you.
My Background and Approach
I am a therapist rooted in cultural understanding, compassion, and a deep commitment to intergenerational healing. Born in Thailand to refugee Cambodian (Khmer Krom) parents and raised in Tacoma, Washington, I grew up with a firsthand awareness of the unique challenges faced by immigrant and refugee communities—especially those navigating histories of trauma, displacement, and cultural transition. My style is direct, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe meaningful therapy requires both support and honest reflection. I will challenge you when needed, while creating a space where you feel understood, respected, and safe enough to examine difficult experiences. My goal is to help you uncover the narratives you've developed about yourself and your life, understand where they came from, determine whether they continue to serve you and provide you tools for you to make the change that you want to see.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In my work, I aim to help clients reconnect with their inner voice, develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others, and reclaim narratives that may have been shaped by pain. It is my hope that therapy becomes a bridge—not only toward personal growth, but toward legacy-level transformation. If you're ready to move beyond feeling stuck and are seeking a therapist who will support you through this journey, I would be honored to work alongside you.
