About My Clients

My clients are typically those who struggle to understand their emotional experiences and their emotional needs. My clients may also struggle with setting boundaries in their relationships with others, with work, and with themselves. My clients may have experienced significantly traumatic experiences, including religious, cultural, sexual, familial, and body image & food-related traumas. My clients may identify as South Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, queer, trans/nonbinary, and muslim.

My Background and Approach

I have been providing therapy for last three years as an intern, limited permit, and licensed clinician. I have taken multiple courses on somatic-based therapy and am currently in training for my Yoga Teacher Training - 200 hrs Certification to further my foundation in a mind-body-soul focused approach for my client's healing. Since my clients have experienced various significant traumas, including intergenerational traumas such as racial, family, cultural, and religious traumas, it is important to me to provide a holistic approach to trauma healing, which requires attention to how the body and spirit also hold these traumas. I help my clients uncover the emotional wounds that are stagnant in our physical bodies as well as our spiritual bodies that trigger our various survival responses and keep us from accessing our full selves.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My values include: transformative justice, Black Lives Matter, Elevate Indigenous Voices and Land Back initiatives, Elevating anti-capitalism, anti-racism, anti-ableism, housing for all, healthcare for all, fat liberation, trans and queer affirming, sex-expansive and kink-affirming, polyamorous-affirming, anti-borders, police & prison abolitionism.
