About My Clients
I work with individuals, couples, and polycules depending on your needs. For individuals, I see folks who identify as LGBTQ+, folks who are healing from sexual and/or relational trauma, who are navigating being neurodivergent in a world not created for their needs, working through grief, and/or folks working through burnout/exhaustion/and hopelessness hoping to find more joy in everyday life. For couples/polycules, I see people who are working through communication struggles and navigating CNM.
My Background and Approach
Growing up queer and neurodivergent in a small conservative town, I understand the importance of having a safe space where you can explore all of the different facets of yourself. Because of this, I deeply value co-creating an environment with you where you feel empowered to show up authentically, to explore, nurture, and hold every facet of your identity with compassion. I have recently seen other therapists describe themselves as a “chill therapist” and I strongly identify with this term. When I show up in the therapeutic space, I am showing up as a fellow human being, not a clinical robot. I believe that the best kind of healing happens from a place of being seen and letting others see you and it would be hypocritical to not show up as my full self. Because of this, my practice is rooted in relational, feminist, trauma-informed, and intersectional frameworks that address personal and systemic experiences that welcomes politics into the space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to be seen, accepted, and cared for as their full, authentic selves. People don’t need to be fixed, they need space to heal, grow, and unlearn what no longer serves them. For much of my younger life, I often felt misunderstood. That changed when I went to college. It gave me the language, support, and community I needed to better understand myself which inspired me to help others find that same sense of belonging. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of working with LGBTQ and BIPOC communities, survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, and disabled adults. I approach my work with warmth, curiosity, and honesty. Healing isn’t linear, and it doesn’t happen all at once, but I believe it’s possible when people feel safe, seen, and supported. If you’re looking for someone to walk beside you, I’d be honored to support you.
