About My Clients
My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, and relational/family conflict. I am also certified as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My certifications and trainings allow me to be more familiarized and knowledgeable on how to better treat my clients experiencing these issues.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working as a school adjustment counselor at a Pilot middle school in Dorchester with an emphasis on ESL students since I also speak Spanish. I also have experience working in a clinical hospital setting and Elementary school where I practiced individual therapy with children as young as six years old up to elderly clients. For several years, I had provided In-Home Therapy services for families with severe emotional distress and family conflict. I believe life is a journey that could take us in different paths, some high points and others are low points. I understand it may feel difficult, especially in the beginning, to share and process your experiences, but my hope is to cultivate a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore these aspects of your life with the hope of exploring your inner strengths, building your resilience, finding peace within yourself in order to live a more positive life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am open-minded and try my best to practice cultural sensitivity and cultural competency. I understand everyone has their own unique story and journey. Now more than ever, empathy needs to be practiced so everyone can feel like they have a place in this world, no matter of their race, sex, sexual orientation, etc. I believe there's always an opportunity to learn more about one another.
