About My Clients
My ideal clients are open to ethical non-monogamy, seeking a therapist who understands and values their lifestyle. They want a safe and inclusive space to explore their journey without fear of judgement. Whether single, in a committed relationship, or somewhere in between, they're ready to grow and discover. If this sounds like you, I'm here to support and guide you every step of the way.
My Background and Approach
I have developed several tools for your toolbox to help you not only with every day life, but with all of your relationships, regardless of what type they are. CBT/DBT is an approach I utilize to help you untangle all the obstacles in your mind to help you learn to let go of the past, be mindful in the present, and gain new techniques and coping skills to be more present for the future. I aim to open your awareness, help you communicate in a safe and healthy way, create and maintain healthy boundaries, and learn to listen to your feelings and thoughts in a way to guide you to better understanding of yourself and a situation. We will work together to dig down deeper under feelings like jealousy, loneliness, mistrust, anger and even your happiness to see where the root is and help you overcome these obstacles or replicate the ideas that bring you peace. This builds resilience to negativity, awareness of positivity, and gives you the means to take any future obstacle head on without fear.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people grow and change all the time - especially for our partners that change can seem to put distance in the relationship. Sometimes this change is hard to understand which can cause miscommunication, stress, and a negative opinion of the world around us. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ and Poly community myself, I understand the difficulties some realizations can have on our emotions, feelings, thoughts, actions, reactions, words, relationships and social standing. This becomes especially difficult depending on the different culture, religious background, and upbringing you experienced. I believe through communication, validation, and practicing my five core values that partners can begin to bridge that distance to bring them closer. I want to be a safe space for anyone to come to and know that I will NEVER judge you, think less of you, abandon or reject you, or be offended by anything you ask, say, do, have done, or think.
