About My Clients
Here at Strong Sense of Self Counseling, we strive to create an environment for our clients to freely explore their feelings and thoughts in a safe place. We are passionate about partnering with individuals who are struggling with depression, self-esteem, anxiety, grief and relationship issues. Other strengths include: work problems, family problems and trauma.
My Background and Approach
I work with individuals, couples, families and teens. Iam trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), which is the leading approach for PTSD and those suffering from traumatic events. I received a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Hope International University in 2017 and a Bachelors Degree in Interpersonal Communication at Vanguard University in 2014. In addition I am an Adjunct Professor at Hope International University & The Chicago School of Psychology teaching Counseling Theories and Trauma courses. Outside of counseling I have partnered with Bloom Foundation in creating a journal to improve self esteem for young women who have been bullied.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Trauma can hinder our ability to trust ourselves and those around us. I help clients process life’s hardships so they can start feeling safe, secure, and free from the issues that hold them back. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and become their most authentic selves.
