My Background and Approach
I understand the challenges of juggling the demands of career, family, relationships and chasing after personal goals. I know of the guilt and shame that is present when you can't be available for the ones you love. I am a firm believer that everyone deserves to live a well balanced life filled with meaning, joy and contentment. Through the use of mindfulness based cognitive behavioral techniques, I work with you to quiet your inner critic and transform it into your inner champion. It is through this process, you will begin to improve your emotional responses and regulation and develop coping strategies to manage challenging situations and stressors. My extensive background in Applied Behavior Analysis, allows me to use the principles of learning and behavior to systematically promote, generalize and maintain behavior change by identifying old patterns of behavior and new skills needed to encourage change and maintain it. Through collaboration, we elicit powerful transformation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our thoughts and perceptions have an immense ability to influence our emotions and our behaviors. The term "mind over matter" did not just come from nothing. There is definitely something to it. However, old psycho-emotional wounds re-open from time to time and dump us into a rabbit hole where we find ourselves stuck. This is what holds us back, and creates fear, anxiety, self-doubt, and keeps us from meeting our optimum potential. Therapy and mindfulness exercises can help us develop an awareness of these stories, become familiar with them, and set the boundaries to not allow them to hold us back anymore. With a shift in perspective, mindset, and focus, I believe we can finally be free to have a fully authentic lived experience that is meaningful, fulfilling, and joyful. I also offer Brainspotting and Yoga Therapy to help release and heal these old wounds from within.
