My Background and Approach
Recognizing that you could use someone to walk alongside you while moving through your darkest times takes true courage. My therapeutic approach involves creating a safe space for one to be heard, seen, and validated. No matter your background, beliefs, or previous experience with therapy, I gladly welcome you. Above all else, I will meet you where you are without judgment, mind and heart open. As a client-centered therapist, I will work with you on your desired treatment goals keeping in mind life may throw curveballs and require adjustments to our previous plans. My holistic strengths-based approach to therapy helps you empower yourself, shed illusions of powerlessness, and overcome trauma while developing the tools to make mindful decisions in the future. I have a background in psychodynamic therapy but also utilize modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
