You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unlike yourself lately. Whether you're preparing for motherhood, adjusting to life after having a baby, navigating relationship changes, or facing another major life transition, you don't have to go through it alone. I provide convenient telehealth counseling for women across Iowa. As a counseling intern under professional supervision, I offer affordable sessions at $25, making support more accessible during times when you may need it most.
My Background and Approach
Before entering the counseling profession, I spent more than a decade working in communication, user experience, and human-centered design. That background taught me the importance of listening deeply, understanding each person's unique story, and creating environments where people feel seen, heard, and supported. Today, I bring those same skills into the counseling relationship. I hold a Master of Arts in Strategic Communication from the University of Iowa and I’ve been trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI). My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who genuinely wants to understand your experience while helping you develop practical tools for growth and healing. Together, we'll explore the challenges you're facing, identify your strengths, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are resilient and with help and support can live happy, healthy lives. I went thought my own challenges in becoming a mother and it's one of the main reasons why I am inspired and honored to help other women go through theirs. As Postpartum Support International says, "You are not alone. You are not to blame. With help, you will be well." When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my husband and toddler on our acreage or visiting national parks together. Other fun facts about me: I love cats and consider myself a fantasy/sci-fi nerd. I also love to read, practice SomaYoga, play games, keep bees, and plant flowers.
