About My Clients
I've provided therapy for clients with a variety of concerns. I've worked with college students of all ages for the last few years, stress and personal growth has been a topic that many clients come in wanting to work on. Anxiety is another topic that I have helped my clients manage. Anxiety can be mild or so severe that individuals may experience frequent panic attacks. I have experience with individuals in recovery and their families.
My Background and Approach
My master's in Health Psychology and my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling have shaped my beliefs in the connection between stress, emotional health, physical health and overall wellbeing. Additionally, my experience at my internships at Santa Rosa Rehabilitation Hospital and OLLU counseling services has shaped my approach to therapy. My personal beliefs have been shaped by life experience. As a young girl, being an army brat cultivated my compassion for others as I traveled the world. Additionally, the death of my grandfather due to addiction normalized the importance of early mental health intervention. My supportive family helped to build my resilience, which shapes how I support others. I believe everyone can reach their full potential, given a space to feel heard and validated.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If I had to pick an ideal client, it would be guiding a single parent to empower themselves to live their best life. Someone struggling with personal growth due to past trauma. Their issue is increasing self-worth, decreasing stress, engaging in self-care, and processing emotions of guilt and shame, while taking care of a family. Single parents experience large amounts of stress and need support to live their best lives so that they can show up for themselves and their kids.
