About My Clients
I specialize in helping you navigate life transitions such as puberty, graduations (high school, college, trade school), diagnoses and changes within relationships (marriage, children, divorce, sexuality and loss of partner). I also work with people struggling with depression and anxiety (including sport and academic performance anxiety and perfectionism). I treat adolescents (14+), college students, young adults, adults and couples.
My Background and Approach
My approach is attachment-based and includes interpersonal, evidence-based and embodiment-focused therapies (mindfulness, CBT, DBT). I believe in the client-led, goal-focused therapeutic relationship. I bring to my clients over two decades of experience working in multicultural and diverse environments. I have taught and practiced yoga and mindfulness for over a decade. I was born and raised in South and Central America and enjoy working with multicultural and bi-cultural clients of all provenances.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone, regardless of provenance, belief or origin deserves to be treated with respect. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment where each client can experience agency when it comes to healing.
