About My Clients
It is so difficult at times just to be a human. The global environment we are living in right now has become too much to bear for so many of us. Fear for our safety, fear for our health, fear for our livelihood, and crippling loneliness has plagued us for far too long. My purpose is to help each of us find a way to look inward at the areas within ourselves that need the most compassion, empathy, and understanding so we can manage the absolute unyielding mess the world offers us right now.
My Background and Approach
I firmly believe in the concept of a "multiplicity of the mind." There are many parts within our mind that are designed to control and protect us. My goal is to get to a place where we can develop coping skills on both a proactive and reactive level for anxiety and depression. This way, as we put out the fires of what causes us stress in the day-to-day, we can also dig deeper to see if there is any deeper inner healing we can do together. I specialize in Trauma-Informed Care and am proficient in my ability to accommodate my practice to meet many different life experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a firm believer in the Black Lives Matter movement, an active ally in the LGBTQ community, I support raising awareness for MMIW, I am an advocate for adoptees and former foster youth, and am a passionate intersectional feminist.
