My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience and a passion for helping individuals feel heard, understood, and supported through life’s most challenging seasons. My practice has a special focus on women’s and maternal mental health, including emotional challenges related to fertility, pregnancy, postpartum changes, motherhood, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, sleep difficulties, and major life transitions. I also welcome adults outside of the maternal population who are seeking compassionate mental health support. My approach is collaborative and individualized. I believe mental health care should go beyond simply identifying symptoms or prescribing medication. I take time to understand what you are experiencing, how it is affecting your everyday life, and what you hope to feel differently. Depending on your needs, care may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, therapeutic support, education
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health is an essential part of overall health and deserves the same attention and care as physical health. Seeking support should never be a source of shame. At different points in life, many of us may need a safe space, additional support, or professional guidance to help us function and feel more like ourselves. I especially believe that women and mothers often carry an enormous emotional load while being expected to continue caring for everyone around them. You deserve care, too. Motherhood, pregnancy, fertility challenges, postpartum changes, relationships, careers, and major life transitions can affect mental well-being in ways that are sometimes difficult to explain to others. I believe in listening before treating. My goal is not simply to give you a diagnosis or medication, but to understand you as a whole person—your experiences, concerns, strengths, culture, responsibilities, and goals.
