About My Clients

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationship struggles, intergenerational trauma, and identity challenges. My ideal clients are those seeking to reconcile their cultural backgrounds with modern expectations or address eating disorders. Whether you're managing family dynamics, healing from trauma, or looking to strengthen your marriage, I offer a compassionate, strengths-based approach to help you feel empowered, understood, and ready to make authentic life choices.

My Background and Approach

I am passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate life’s complexities. With expertise in marriage counseling, intergenerational trauma, and eating disorders, I offer a culturally sensitive lens to address the unique needs of my clients. As a Pakistani-American, I understand the nuances of balancing cultural expectations with personal identity. I utilize evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Gottman Method for couples, and an eclectic framework to tailor therapy to each client’s needs. My goal is to create a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore their challenges, heal from past wounds, and develop tools to thrive in their relationships and personal lives. With a strengths-based approach, I empower clients to embrace their authentic selves and navigate life’s transitions with confidence and clarity.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As someone who grew up navigating two cultures, I believe in honoring the intersectionality of identity and the role it plays in mental health. My work is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a space to feel heard, validated, and supported. I’m particularly passionate about supporting immigrant families and individuals managing bi-cultural identities. Outside of therapy, I’m an advocate for mental health awareness in underrepresented communities, working to reduce stigma and promote access to care. As a parent, I also understand the challenges of raising children in a multicultural environment and am deeply committed to helping clients build strong, healthy family relationships. My approach is collaborative, empathetic, and guided by a deep respect for my clients’ lived experiences.
