About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults who’ve always been “the strong one”-the reliable sibling, emotional support for others, or overachiever who appears fine on the outside but feels overwhelmed inside. Many of my clients navigate anxiety, burnout, grief, identity shifts, and cultural or family expectations. They seek thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy to break patterns, set boundaries, and build a life that feels authentic.
My Background and Approach
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but struggle to change emotionally. They often know why something is happening, yet still feel overwhelmed, reactive, or disconnected when it shows up in real life. My role is to help you bridge that gap by turning insight into meaningful, lasting change. I draw from evidence-based approaches including IFS, ERP, CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness, and somatic work. In practice, this means we’ll explore what’s happening in your thoughts, emotions, and body while also building practical tools you can use in everyday moments-during conflict, stress, anxiety, or emotional overload. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced with care. We’ll work together to strengthen self-awareness, emotional regulation, and boundaries, so you feel more grounded, connected, and confident in your choices. The goal isn’t just to cope, but to build a life that feels more intentional, balanced, and aligned with who you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy works best when you feel seen as a whole person, not a problem to be fixed. I value honesty, curiosity, cultural humility, and compassion, and I believe meaningful change happens when insight is paired with care and accountability. I’m deeply committed to culturally responsive and trauma-informed work, especially with clients navigating identity, family dynamics, faith, and generational expectations. I’m passionate about mental health as both personal healing and collective care. I support conversations around emotional boundaries, cycle-breaking, and access to mental health services for communities that have historically been underserved or misunderstood. I believe growth doesn’t require perfection-just willingness and support. In our work together, you can expect a space that is thoughtful, grounded, and nonjudgmental, where your experiences are honored and your autonomy is respected. Therapy is not about becoming someone else; it’s about coming home to yourself.
