About My Clients
I work with veterans, first responders, and transition-aged youth struggling with trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, identity transitions, and difficulty adjusting to life changes. Many of my clients feel pressure to stay strong while privately carrying stress, emotional numbness, anger, or disconnection. I also support young adults considering military service or transitioning out of service and adjusting back to civilian life.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded, practical, and collaborative. I strive to create an environment where clients feel safe enough to speak honestly about what they are carrying without fear of judgment. Many of the people I work with have spent years functioning in high-stress environments while suppressing emotions, staying in survival mode, or feeling pressure to constantly “hold it together.” I help clients better understand their emotional responses, process difficult experiences, strengthen resilience, and develop healthier ways of managing stress and relationships. My work integrates trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, emotional processing, and mental fitness principles to help clients move forward with greater clarity, stability, and self-awareness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I served 8.5 years on Active Duty in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer, and that experience continues to shape the way I approach therapy and human connection. I understand firsthand the pressure of high-stress environments, the difficulty of transitioning back into civilian life, and the emotional weight many veterans and first responders carry silently. I believe strength and vulnerability can exist together, and that therapy should provide a space where people feel safe enough to be honest without fear of judgment. I am passionate about helping veterans and first responders process trauma, stress, identity transitions, emotional overwhelm, and the pressure of constantly needing to “hold it together.” My approach is grounded, practical, collaborative, and focused on helping people build resilience, clarity, and a stronger connection to themselves and others.
